top end bog

My problem is my 03 rx1 turbo developed a bad bog around 6500 rpms where it starts to miss and backfire. I changed the plugs and cleaned the carbs and now it runs up to about 8500 rpms before it bogs. got rid of the backfire. anyone have any ideas.

Have you checked needle height? How about the pilot jets, did you clean those real good? P.S. put your location in, site rules.

Boost Leak? Have you pressure tested the intake at all?
