Just thought I'd post up that when I went to switch out my MTX torsion springs for the heavy Apex springs, the two lower bolts(1 on each side) that hold the idler wheel and torsion spring retainer on were bent. My MTX has 700 miles on it. Also, the track nobs are slowly eating away at the bottom of the limiter straps(on the sides), almost like the bar is mounted tow low in the rails.

Just a heads up and something for people to watch.

No, they were tight when I removed them. IMO, it seems like a poor design. All the idler wheel blocks are hollow like in the back, so the bolt only goes through about the outer half of the block, which is right where the bolts are bending. hard to explain but if you saw it you'd know what I'm talking about.

Honestly, I don't remember. I just remember pulling both sides off and seeing the bolts bent.

just checked mine on the RTX...put the 2100 springs in. Bolts tight and nothing bent. this part has an aluminium boss or stub and looks pretty strong......!!

Do you have the anti-bottoming rollers? If not, you should get them as they really help to stiffen up the suspension at the bottom of the stroke. I'd think they'd also spread the load out more during hard bottoming.

AKrider, I wonder why they took them off the sled.....after the pre pro demo models.

you have them installed I'm guessing, do we have to drill a hole...?

No, I have them on my Vector. The '05 Vector and the Nytro MTX both use the same pro-active rear skid. The FX Nytro and RTX use a different rear skid BUT some of the Yamaha photos on their website show the rollers. Going off memory, I believe the hole is there in the Nytro rails to mount the rollers but I'd have to look again to know for sure. They definitely made a difference on my Vector.
