That's what we have to do this sunday,my friend owns a 2013 mudpro 1000 with tatou tracks,he went for some off trail fun on a hydro line, climbing hills and frozen swamps when suddenly a loud clunk was heard coming from the transmission, bike has 500 km,now he was 7 miles from the nearest road,he cant get the bike to move, even at idle its making noise, were going with a grizzly with tracks and an old alpine sled, hope we dont have a hard time, its been in the bush for a week now and we have received 10" of new snow since last sunday, snow is more than waist deep,i cut some pcs of teflon to put underneath each track ,hope it helps,a bit nervous about the whole thing, will post pics when i come back

Yea, that doesn't sound like its going to be easy..

What about using Krazy Karpets under the tracks once you get it dug out?
It might slide better.
Don't forget to take a come-along with you too.
The Winch on your Grizz will take a pounding.

Good Luck!

We have a bunch of gear loaded, rope, come alongs, chainsaws,we went to wally mart and canadian tire and they are sold out of carpets, but we have piles of teflon at work, only thing with teflon is there will be no brakes,a couple fiberglass toboggans would of work great but his quad is so big, they would have to be 10 ft long, that thing must weigh 1000 lbs with tracks and ice build up,should be fun, were a bunch of co- workers

Please post pics of the mission!

Good luck with this one. Sounds like it's going to be a long day. Can't wait to see the pics from this.

I'll have my gopro, leaving at 7 am,its a 2 hour drive by truck, than 1/2 hour on sled, then 7 miles to the quad in no mans land, love northern ontario, shining tree area

Well I hate to say it but you did mention Arctic cat and 7 miles in Butt F%#K no where? Good Luck and hopefully you guys won't have to live off of coyotes on the side of the cutline until you're found. lol

ya, sounds like the ontario angry snowmobiler,''i'll stick a wolf and roast it up'' lol, coming to think of it,my friend who owns the cat looks alot like the guy in the vid

Was hoping someone would pick up on that! LOL Ya something similar happened to me back in the 80's when I was stationed in North bay. A buddy and I jumped on my new used JDX8 and we started beaming it out on some trails heading no where fast. Well to our surprise she seized up about 10 miles out in the middle of nowhere and left the 2 of us walking in 4' of snow until 10 o:clock at night and still a few miles out when we finally got onto a trail where some sledders picked us up. We had to get a skidder to pull the ole girl out. I feel for you, I truly do.

Oh boy, sounds like an ordeal, youre scaring me,lol,we have a second grizzly with tracks coming,so if 2 grizzly's with tracks,1 alpine and a few other snowmobile cant get the cat out,its staying there or w'ell light it up,lol

Just remember to wait for the most opportunist time to remind him about what you're looking at. The Face of a Born Loser!. ROTFLMAO
Looking forward to seeing pics
