Just because the reading look bigger does not mean you will go faster top end,now it may increase cpu and advance the timing, yes this does appera to happen,as it will increase your idle to about 2,500 and unless you manually adjust your idle stop it will just idle up higher than it is supose to run at 1,400 rpms. Now top end will be effected w/tps advanced ahead,or turned cc wise, now maybe i adjusted it to much, but it had more to go,and i backed it down some, and it still idles that high, and it does seem to produce more engine heat, now on top of that i put back the cr10 plugs that freedie sent us w/kit,but have not checked them, and i syill have not raised my needles ot increased my main size yet, today was perfect top end running,w/tail wind on snow to start than on glare ice,for about 1,500 ft,total runs 1.1 miles than a slow down could only muster 116 gps not what i exspected,my cousins sled 03 shorty 2,600 miles same studs, all stock runs 115 gps we swaped sleds same results temps today was -5 below speedo 128-131 now it would screem to 124 than feel like someone put the brakes on,just realy struggles on top end,now the good part he will be calling freddie today, mine is so much quicker than his in bottom, and mid,if he wackes his and lets off and hits it again his only goes to 9,300 than creeps back up to 10,500 and mine is only running 10,200-10,300 need some more rpms as it aproaches top end,but still fun day.

mnmsnowbeast said:Just because the reading look bigger does not mean you will go faster top endThat is exactly what Ted and I reported. Absolutely no gain at top end...just makes power quicker. This affects ET more than it does MPH.

Pretty much what I have been saying all along! The biggest gains are the rate of acceleration of the engine.

hey snobeast i live in washburn, i messaged you a few time last winter ,have been off line for a while but back now, been getting the 03shorty ready for riding but still waiting for snow after the thaw we had ,all we have is rr beds right now and they are smooth but little snow in the county, wasnt your family from sherman ? hope im not confusing you with someone else, the ecp kit works good so far but hesitation when on and off throttle, also been -5 to -25 so i think it will be better when warmer but goinna try raising needles first ,when it gets good maybe then i will try the tps but will get working better first, lots of great info in ty for sure.let me know if your coming to the county this year maybe we can hook up,wanted to try to go with that group on the 19th but looks bad right now
