Hey everyone, just wondering what you are running your track at for tightness. I set mine at 22 pounds and between 1 1/16" to 1/8" a little loser than what the manual says. hopefully it doesn't ratchet. curious to see what you guys have it set at. the sled is a 09 fx 121. Thanks

There's quite a few threads on the subject, which would probably account or the lack of responses. Personally I believe running at OEM specs is way to tight. I've tried it and burned through the slides in about an hour. I run about 1" of sag with no weight pull, that's on my XTX. On the Vector about an 1.5" and neither ratchets. If you're studded you want to keep it a tad tighter than if you are unstudded, the extra weight of the studs makes it balloon more. Bottom line for me is if its not ratcheting I'm good to go. This is only my opinion and in no way reflects the opinion of TY or anyone else in the world for that matter. I'm not responsible for any problems occurring from the implementation of my advice, including but not limited to: ratcheting, ballooning, impedance, hemorrhoids, or Mayan predicted apocalypse.

Just put sliders put on and had my dealer check it . He recommended setting the track looser than the manual says.He set mine at least 1.25" . If the track doesn't ratchet it should be fine

With the stock track on my 09 xtx and stock drivers. I could have the tail up on the stand and about 1 inch of droop before it would ratchet. Got around 3k miles out of my first set of hyfax. Now i have the 1.75bc with extros. Have no miles on that set up yet.

Had a new track and new slides put on at the dealer. Took it for a ride yesterday, about 20kms and smelt burning, got off the sled and checked the slides and they were melting leaving white powder on every window. I checked my track tension and i have less than 1/2" free sag. I went to the dealer asking if its too tight, they says its not their fault its too tight and will take 2 weeks to get in. Is the track too tight? how much free sag should I have? should I just do it myself? Its only a couple bolts

Its probably too tight, set it looser but you must check it and adjust it after each ride because it will stretch.
