changing track on my 17 MTX do you have to unbolt inner chaincase to drop cogged drive shaft or is there an easier way

Nope, outer chain case cover with oil tank attached,pull gear's and chains, pull secondary clutch, 3 bolt's inside tunnel release brake caliper with bearing, c clip and rotor needs to come off first.changing track on my 17 MTX do you have to unbolt inner chaincase to drop cogged drive shaft or is there an easier way

Nope, outer chain case cover with oil tank attached,pull gear's and chains, pull secondary clutch, 3 bolt's inside tunnel release brake caliper with bearing, c clip and rotor needs to come off first.
Figured it out yes i didn't see where bearing was on left side its integral with caliper mount got track changed no troubles chain case was already apart thanks for reply!! Found that my tensioner idler for chain case had inside screw loose it came out of roller and was stuck between roller and inner chaincase housing im lucky it didn't fall into chaincase something to watch as i would imagine most people might not take tensioner right off! just something i found with mine as an FYI

there is a sticky going on the tensioner screw as it has been found loose in vipers and sidewinders.
