I am changing my track and i am installing the bottom gear in the chain case. i cannot figure this out. when i install the bolt with the spring on it on the bottom gear, once i torque it down the gear will not rotate, and thus the track wont either? if anyone has any ideas, i feel stupid, i have had this chain case apart many times and never had problems. i dont know why it is binding, it should be simple to figure out but i just cant get it

Hey Judger
I have reverse so it would be impossible to do but im not sure if the standard bottom gear is offset to one side or the other. could the bottom gear be rotated 180 degrees meaning the outside face is now on the inside putting the offset toward the back wall of the bulkhead and when you torque it down the gear comes in contact with the bulkhead. Just a thought. I have only taken mine apart once to swap tracks and everythng went back together smoothly. I truly hate when they don't. Good luck

good tip, ill have to take a look at that. that is what is SEEMS like is happening, it seems like it is sucking in and hitting the bulkhead, but i am pretty sure that i have the gear right. i will defiantly check it though.
any other thoughts?

Hey Judger
Yes we all have our moments that is for sure. just take it as practice for when you get old and funny. the moments seem to come more frequently as time wears on all of us HeHe Glad you figured it out. It is usually something very simple that is overlooked most of the time
Good luck with that skinz front end. Even with the hiem issue they were dealling with, it sounds like it is the way to go. the front end is probably going to be one of my next upgrades for sure
