i was wonder how much track clearance you need on the front tunnel protectors, i have a xtx and the dealer put a 1 1/2 crossover track on it, it does not rub but it only has 1/8" maybe a 1/16" between paddle and protector is this enough

- None, looking now!
That is how much clearance I have on my Attak with a 1.5X144 Crossover. I haven't had any issues other than the cooler protectors have a couple rub marks on them.

i will remove protectors first, i do not run studs so this would be the easiest fix, this is what i did on my warrior with no problems, what advantage is there to changing drivers size besides gaining more clearance

don't the protectors just make extra ice build-up under there??? I'm assuming to rip mine out of my XTX also..

track clearance, get anti-rachets, it's like changing gearing= You'll be able to run your track looser, less hyfax wear, no track slip and little better holeshot

The bigger the drivers, the lower the approach angle. The lower the approach angle, the lower the friction and the better the performance. Running the track loose will NOT help slider wear and will NOT improve performance. Running the track loose will allow it to slide slightly easier IN YOUR GARAGE, but when you're moving, a tighter track will balloon less, which leads to pumping less air and improved performance.
