track clip problem apex rtx 2006

buddy was out for his first ride on his rtx last weekend and i always could smell burnin rubber, kinda like belt. fely clutches and they were good. Checked it over today and it only has 1 clip left on the hole track. there is only 1500 miles on this sled. what the heck happened

If you find out, let us know. That is unbelievable. He didn't change something, like drivers, did he. The only reason I can suggest is a lot of riding in bad conditions, and they wore thin.

That is strange. I put a ripsaw on one of my old RX1's, and the guy has no mercy..the track is about ripped to shreds, but only one clip is missing.

Clips

Last year every trip I made 150 - 300 miles each, I would throw at least 10 track clips religiously. Every time !!!
After changing all but 3 on the entire track I pulled the limiter strap up all the way to see if that helps. Pain in the butt every trip installing clips.
I have a 136 track though not the 121 but have heard of others having the same problems. Check the fixes at the top of the forum.

all looks stock to me. i think it was originally bought from a ty member and originally mighty,s sled. i think it was looked after. sled doesnt look abused
