Just doing an after ride check and lube on my 06 Attak and noticed over half of my track clips are missing. My sliders are in good shape but noticed my rail end caps are loose and torn up. I'm assuming that is what caused the clips to come off. (track is a tad looser than spec. but no ratcheting) My question is where can I get the clips as my dealer say's they would have to get them after market. And they don't have the part #. I'll replace the end caps and bolt them on as they are rivited now and apparently cant take the abuse.

track clips

i have a 06 apex 121 and all my clips came off to... i never seen this before on any of my other sleds not sure where to get the clips, dealer is putting new track on for free

I just purchased some from JR GRAHAM and I think they were $1.00/ea. You need the 1" wide clip made for Camoplast tracks. You also will need a clip crimping tool that can accomodate the lug directly behind the clip. I found this to be a problem when I installed mine.

Talked to a nearby dealer who didn't have any clips. He said that they just use a pair of big channel locks. Sounds like that would be hard on the hands.

I tried the big channel lock method but I couldn't get them to crimp tight enough. Then again I am not a real big guy!

I had that happen to me with a camoplast that had grooves in the clips to hold the snow. But when you ride in snirt that style clip acts like sand paper. I had to remove and replace every one and would never do that again ! If you only have to install them do yourself a favor and buy the more expensive tool and install with air. Having never done it before with that tool and a air gun I could install one in less than 60 seconds. I believe that I purchased from rec leisure in Farmington Hills. If you have to remove and install all of them do yourself a favor and buy a new track. Tracks USA and Port Yamaha have great prices. I would let you borrow my clip tool however after looking it must be up north.

Talked to a friend of mine and he knows a guy who's a machinest. He said I could borrow his track clip tool as it will work on all tracks. I have to give a thank-you to port Yamaha and Kevin in pareticular. He got me on the right path and even gave me the part # of the oem clips. Thanks all

I have a track clip tool that I lend out if you can't find one. Maxdlx
