It's time for me to buy a track. Just finishing up boosting my Nytro and need to replace my Ripsaw. I am looking for a 60/40 - 40/60 on trail/off trail riding. I am also planning an trips to the Snowies. Was originally looking at a cobra. But I coming across the Back Country, Cross Over, and the Free Ride. What do you guys think? I am sticking with the 144" and will be running around 200 - 210 HP.
I will be changing over to Avid drivers as well.

Confused?

I am in the same boat as you and talked to camoPlast reps between the backcountry intense and cobra. Mines not boosted but they said the backcountry is over kill and they would rather use the cobra off trail than the intense.

I wonder how the cobra would do in the Snowies.

Does anyone know how the Challenger Trail Lite compares to the Back Country? How much of a pain would it be putting a 146 x 16 on an XTX.

I voted for the Back Country, I have it and love the grip on the trail, and off trail it is a whole new animal compared to the stock ripsaw!
I ride mostly off trail however, probably close to 70%, but so far I wouldn't want anything else.

Backcountry last year for me and it was insane, this year i went to a 146" peak 2.86 pitch as i will be mainly riding in the deep stuff off trail.
The backcountry was an amazing track for sure and i never got the sled stuck with it off trail, on trail they say it has some lateral slide but i can tell you from personal experience that it had more side bite that my 144 studded short track did.

How much of a pain was it putting a 146 on? Did you just do an 8" wheel? I am really interested in the Challenger Trail or Trail Lite. I just can't find much info on them. Little more footprint being a 146 but more-so being a 16" track.

I see someone voted for the XC Pro. That track is hugely popular on the Doo site. Wonder how the Nytro would like Liu it.

Back Country 1.75. Full windows for the increased lug height and hyfax wear. Fully clipped would be nice too. Don't forget some extroverts, Wahl brothers sound good. Might need them with all the HP. XC pro will be the best on trail but trenches in easier in the deep. Challanger has softer rubber more flexible lugs good for not trenching in and the back country is probably in the middle where you are.
Going through the track decision myself when I found your old post. A little late now I'm sure.

I am highly considering 1.5" Freeride track.. Not many using it here, 14" width in 144" length on a boosted XTX is my top choice. If you're 80%+ offtrail the Back country is a nice choice, but for mainly trail anything over 1.5" is too much IMO.

Are you not planning on running any studs in any of these tracks? My opinion, which you might not like, is to have 2 tracks. It is kinda a pain to switch, but for what you're describing, its definitely the best way. You'll need a pile of studs to get that power to the ground while trail riding, I'd find a 1.25 Predator and stud the crap out of it.
Then, switch to a 2" or even a 2 1/4" when you go out west. If you switched to 8 tooth drivers a 2 1/4" would fit. Or, it looks like on the tracks usa website you can get a 144x2" that is 16" wide? Just knotch the track to clear the tunnel protectors.
I had my stock nytro out in the mountains with a 136" 2" challenger and it has so much instant power that it trenches badly and digs itself into holes. You'll need as much track as possible with boost, if you want to have as much fun as possible.
My 2 cents
