So we got about 12" of snow here yesterday over a period of 12 hours. Me and my buddy went out for a ride and were jumping a snowmound. Well, the second time I hit it, I went off crooked and landed with the rear end first and kind of on the right side. When I landed, I couldnt move. Af first I thought I hit the kill switch, but then I realized the sled wqas still running. The edge of the right side of the track was wedged behind the right bogie wheel. It was wedged in there really good too. My buddy had to go back and grab a big flat head to pry it out and back around the wheel. We finally got the track free, but unfortunately being wedged in there ripped the track a little bit. I limped it back home, but I definitely can't really ride it any more.
So, would a 4th wheel kit have prevented this? It didn't seem or look like the whole track moved, it was more like the edge of it got tucked behind the wheel for whatever reason.
I really don't have the cash for a new track right now. What other brand/types of tracks will work for the phazer? I would like to find a used 1.5" for a decent price.
And lastly, how hard is it to change the track. Last year, I pulled my skid out to replace the rails, but thats as far as I've gone. After pulling the skid, is it just a matter of removing the drive shaft? How hard is that?
