Has anybody tried the cat 1.375 ?? I had a look at the track on the weekend and it has a nice stiff lug and might be a happy medium between the 1.25 and the 1.5.

A buddy of mine has one on his F1000, seems to work good, but I'm still going with the Intense. I have yet to see a track work better on a shorty.

2 new tracks from Camoplast. One is called the Cobra. It is a 1.375 lug. It was described to Me as basically a 1.25" track with 1/8" angled tooth rubber chissels that go with the rotation of the track. It is supposed to have the same performance as the ripsaw on hardpack trails but be better in loose snow. It has less side bite in the corners compared to the ripasaw. The other track is a cross country 1.75" lug. That one looks pretty straight forward. The cobra is a pace 3 and the 1.75 is fully clipped.

No, I think the intense is as far as hardness goes. Go with the freeride, or a sno X 1.75, or you could even cut down a 2in.

I'm more or less concerned for a happy medium ( good bite, decent topend) in 660 foot stock class snow racing. The 1.75 might start killing the top end in the last hundred or so feet. Stock class also don't allow cut tracks or any that are not oem dimensions.. The 1.5 rip looks to be at the top of my list for now.
