In March 2008 I noticed a piece of rubber missing on the inside of my track where the middle rear idler rolls which left fabric exposed.
I later noticed that there was rubber from the track adhered to the middle rear idler as you can see in the pictures. For some reason like the track not being cured properly the track and idler wheel bonded to each other. I know I rode at least 300 miles if not the whole year in this condition. They may have bonded to each other over the summer.
The local dealer sent pictures and it took all summer before Yamaha told them the track was not covered under warranty. I contacted Yamaha my self and sent more pictures myself and got the same response from them.
I could understand it if I abused it but I don't and it only has about 2400 miles on it and is a 07. I think it was a bad track from the beginning.
I guess I go to the track manufacturer next.
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or some advise.
I have the 5 year warranty and man not thinking much of it at the moment. :o|

Sorry to say this but the maverick track that yamaha put on the mnt.lite are junk. My track started to fall apart at 2500 miles, and I had lost a third of my paddles at 4500 miles, and half the remaining paddles were split down the middle. If you research some old post's you'll see it is a comon occurance, so don't feel special :o| Yamaha put this track on for the purpose of keeping the weight down on the sled.(lite weight 4 stroke) that being said lite weight tracks don't last long. Yours doesn't look to bad, run it till it's bad and upgrade to a new and better track. I did and I love the performance increase!

i second that just put 151 on and cut it to fit i got one on and what a difference it works great the boost helps to but that not set up right yetjavascript:emoticon(':winter:')

Hi there.

Exactly how do you cut a track to fit into the tunnel? Lets say I buy a 15" track and want to cut it to 14". Could someone who knows this stuff write a detailed explanation?

Thank you in advance... :)

Thank you, that was a very informative video.

Did you turn it inside out just by hand? Was it easy?

i turned it in side out thats wasnt to hard just a little bite of a pain cutting on the table saw is really easy just take your time and feed it slow takes three guys for sure i put a four by four in the middle to hold the track up to make roll easy i only took off a 1/4 off each side 14.5 will fit and your going to have to put anti stab kit if u do anti slip drivers on the rubber on the rails hit drivers if have any more question pm me
