Track question(s)

".........extra steering effort........" ????

Notice in the tagline about the Simmons skis? Even RX-1Yooper has switched off to mine and wondered why it turned so easy compared to his with the stockers. ;)!

Thanks............and glad you had such a good intro "up nort"

Welter, are you the guy that spins all the snow off the corners, like the frenchies in quebecs with no studs !!!

Buddah,

Have you decided if you are going to stud it? I couldn't figure out from this thread if the track with no studs is comparable or better than the 2003 studded track. I am going to try mine unstudded first because I don't have the time and don't feel like spending any more on sleds.

LeeKo,

That's basically what I said. Run it unstudded first to see if it works O.K. If not, then spend the time ( & $$$$ ) and fix it.

Have a good one.
Buddah

Jim, give me a call sometime for some riding. Left a message yesterday at your house.

Brad,

Turns out we can't come up until Tuesday. :Babe: Mrs. Buddah had some emergency dental work (endodontic) done yesterday and she has to go Monday for follow-up. So......we drive Tuesday it looks like. I'll call once we're settled in.

I have just bought the 05 RX-1 ER. I installed the 1.325" studs with backer plates that have a 45 degree bend on them that install up against the paddle for more support. I also used the tall nut to prevent the studs from bending. I installed 160 of them. Something like 48 double backers and 64 singles backers. Here is the website for the special backers.
