Hey,
After a couple of seasons on the Nytro how many of you still love this sled? Do you like it more or less? Opinions?

What is everyone getting for trackspeed while climbing on your naturally aspirated Nytro?

Has anyone installed a 16 wide track on the Nytro or is the tunnel to narrow?

I just purchase a Nytro with a MBRP exhaust, KMOD rear skid, fox floats front and rear suspension, 1 tooth lower than stock on top gear (I forgot what stock was), 155 2.4 Polaris track, extroverts, I am excited to ride this year!!! Next Year I am thinking of going 162 x16 x 2.5 or so!!!

The clutching is revving about where it should be but it is burning belts I am buying the old style Heelclickers to fix that cause I had them on my RX1 for 2000 miles on the same belt. I only drove it for one ride and was disappointed with the clutching. Thanks, Justin

You can fit a 16wide in the stock tunnel. Its tight but will fit. You have to have aftermarket drop brackets and do some grinding on bolts/rivets in the inside of the tunnel.

If i remeber right im pulling right around 35mph track speeed without nitrous and right around 50 with. Going to a 3" CE this year tho so will see how that affects it.

Your nytro should go pretty good with how its setup. As far as clutching definatly need to get that figured out. I run a similiar setup to what you have but im also 8000ft + but you should just be able to add a little weight and be good. for clutching i have the Green-white-green in the primary with the stock hi alt weights with no rivets and i ground the tips off about 4grams. Secondary i run the Yellow Arctic cat spring wound at 10degrees and stock helix. 18-40 gearing works well.

Fox Floats

I am thinking the fox floats are set way too stiff for me for the mtns so I am going to have too soften them way up.

On sidehills it feels a little darty and on flat ground when you tip the sled into a carve it does not like to come back up and when it does it tries to throw you. So far I love the sled just needs some setup.

I am hoping the clutch kit makes this sled pull more like my old RX1. I know before I did the clutching on my RX1 it was a dog.

You eliminating your cooler or how do you plan on clearing a 3"???

Actually Chad at CR Racing has a new front cooler design that will allow the clearance of a 3" track. He will hopefully be releasing within a week or 2. I was origanaly going to try and eliminate the front cooler and the radiator but not sure if id have enough cooling. I did have a special Rear double pass cooler made that is bigger then most to try but ill be going with chad's new front cooler and eliminating the radiator.

I'm assuming his new cooler design puts the jackshaft in the tunnel?

Good call, this is with a 2.5 then consider there is the part of the tunnel under the jackshaft from the factory and even if you came up with a design to run it in the tunnel you only have 3 1/8 inches to your jackshaft along with having zero room for a cooler or snow removal. making your 35 mph track speed even slower, you really think a 3 inch would gain anything also considering the greater rotating weight?

More power to ya if you think its the ticket and I hope it works great for ya. I just feel like its a lot of money to spend on something I have a hard time thinking it will work good. :

BTW for track speed I pull about 40-45 mph with my 144x2.5 CE and was about the same with a 153x2.25 cat take off challenger.
Belt life I am still fighting but the only good thing is that they are cheap compared to the other brand sleds.

Handling wise I think it is more learning the new sled than anything but reducing ski pressure with skid adjustment will help since they are heavy on the front end it helps to lighten them up when your under power. :yam:

are those 8 tooth or 7 tooth drivers? I never realized the jackshaft was that close. Ill have to do some tinkerin. I just talked to Chad last week about his cooler and never mentioned anything about the jackshaft. I'll have to bring it up. What is everyone else doing that is running a 3" in a nytro? And for loosing my 35mph track speed or not having enough power to turn the 3" is not a concern for me. Im not scared of pushing the drug button. As far as the 3" if you have ever been around one they are very impressive. riding buddy put one on his xp and wow.

I wana do a 3" CE also.. Mine averaged 35-39mph with stock clutching and gearing last year. 162x15x2.5CE

I am excited to start the mods

I ordered a Heelclicker old style dual quadrant kit from Super Torquer and am excited to put it on I am hoping with gearing and clutching I can get 45-50 trackspeed. My RX1 did that with my 162x16x2.3 after I got it all setup. The mods begin soon I am going up to where I have my Nytro stored and am going to start the mods, I am going to put my MBRP exhaust under the tunnel and maybe start figuring out what to do about the running boards.

I would guess you should see around 45 or a little better if your clutching is good. I have always seen around 40-45 with both my 153 and my 144 but my clutches have never been dialed.
