I have an 08 apex mtx which I cut the track from 2.25 to 1 3/8. I would like to run studs, however this model never came with tunnel protectors. Still running the stock 7 pitch driveshaft which is smaller that the short tracks and has more clearance between the track and the front exchanger. The original 2 1/4 paddles never hit the front heat exchanger or the tunnel under the seat for that matter.......so I'm wondering if I put 1.5 studs will I be safe? What do you all think??? Thanks.

I'd still add some tunnel protectors don't wanna throw a stud threw your front heat exchanger trust me I've done it twice now and its normally not good. BTW how is the riding up in your neck of the woods? I just cancelled my annual trip to Sinclair for this coming weekend. Hoping this weather pattern goes back to cold and snow soon cause this really sucks considering the start to the season was the best in many years but we still ended up getting the shaft. Thanks for any updates to the conditions. Ride safe but ride like Hell!!
