Well had my 07 Attak out on Saturday and was on an ice track.
I have 120 picks up the middle @ 1.4".
Transfer rod to Max
Limiter Strap at hole 4 (second from max)
All I could do was spin. I had to burp it up to speed (80 MPH) and then when running around 120-125 MPH the rear end was floating around.
I am thinking about going to double backers and studding the outer edge of the track. I am not impressed with the traction from this track in the snow either. Can I just punch another hole beside my existing stud and place another stud and use a double backer plate?
Any other ideas for more traction?
Is it possible to lift the front end on these? With the way my suspension is setup I thought I could get it up no problem?????

You have 1.450 woody's or 1.375 Stud Boys? The 1.450's Woody's give you almost 1/2 penetration. It has the most out of all the stud OEM's that will fit that track and chassis. I think you need to run the 1.450 with 162/168 (121 equivalent?) and that will help You have to measure the penetration. It's hard to pull the skis on a 136, unless you have the right penetration and have 212 studs or what ever the equilivalent is to 192 on the 121" Buy a Ulmer stage III clutch kit from Ulmer and a RAM Air Lid from Fix PowerSports and it will go real good then. After that talk to me some more and we can do some more if you have some extra cash.

With the ram air lid, do you have to do any re-mapping of the fuel.

1.450" Megabite studs. Shorter studs may be enough for stopping on icy conditions however don't cut it when when you're drag rcing, IMO.

120 studs is not nearly enough studs for the 136. You need a minimum of 168. In my opinion, with the 1.25" track there is not much you can do to hook on glare ice from a dead stop.

No, you will be alright. It's when you add an exhaust and airbox mod, that you need to add fuel. I agree with badsled, and as I stated above, 1.450 is the ticket. You need to harness that torque, because those motors have alot of it. Any snow in Sudbury? We are dead in the water here, it's all gone.

Ya, I have 1.450 in there but I am adding more. Aire Box as well. That will be all for this year.
No snow here either. Lakes look fast. Everyone kept their ice huts out and none went down. Supposed to be getting 4-6" tonight. Perfect for lube on the sliders. Looks like we'll be driving up and down the lakes this weekend again.
