I'm having some trouble with my trail tank venting.... after I ride my machine for an hour or so if I open the gas tank cover there is alot of pressure built up. The tank was dealer installed and when I first noticed this I brought it back in and they exchanged the tank for a newer version and checked vent lines. Told me everything was okay ... but problem still there. Anyone with ideas to fix this? Can I get a vented gas cap and would this work? Looking for input as I love the machine but this irks me.

Double/triple check the vent line. Remove the vent line from the chassis (where it ends near the left footwell) and blow into it to see if it is blocked. I believe you'll find that it is still pinched off.
Unbolt the tank and pull away from the steering gate and try blowing through the vent line again.

I would say the vent line is pinched , just like grimm said blow in line should flow freelly with cap off

Check your vent line.
Mine was pinched when I installed my tank.
I thought for sure I had good routing but it was pinched on top.
After a long hard ride the thank expaned like a baloon, dooh.

You don't need to pull your tank!
Take your side panels off. The vent line comes off the right side goes down the frame a couple of inches with the spring around it and comes back up. this to create your trap to prevent anti-syphoning. This line then goes between the frame and tank using a molded groove in the tank to get to the front. It then goes under the steering to going to the left side of the sled where it follows the frame down to its drain by the left foot. Make sure the 'trap' goes down as much as it can. The next critical point is between frame and tank. There is another tight point close by the clutch where it flips around the frame again.
Mine was pinched twice by the frame so I picked up 3-4 of new line and yanked the old one out and replaced it as the pinched spots didn't want to re-open. I installed the line following this general path. Works great now.
