This bag works great... It attaches with 4pcs of velcro. The installation instructions suck and you will most likely be inclined to mount it upside down. If it doesn't seem right, flip it over...
Last year, this was a major topic of discussion, so search the RS section from last Fall.

I bought the "Parts Unlimited" windshield bag and I am very happy with it.
I am not sure how the yammie one is set up but the P/U one has 2 long pieces of velcro that do not stick in the cold. (only bad point on the bag)
What I did was remove the two 'dashboard' screws under the windsield, get the bag positioned where I wanted it, marked the inside of the bag where the screw holes are, heated up a nail an burned two small holes in the bottom of the bag. Then used the original screws with washers and went through the inside of the bag for permanent attachment. Clean and effective. Yammie bag may have pre-done holes. I ride an RS Venture but setup should be the same.

Well I bought one of the Yammy bags but I have yet to mount it. I was just wondering how the velcro holds up to hard riding over rutted trails. Does the bag stay attached???

I've had a Yamaha bag mounted since 03. Never a problem. It even holds 3 Smokey forks.

Do the windshield bags cut down [much ] on your in close vision ? I could use all the storage space I can get for multi day rides. Thanks.

NO...... I have one as well. The velcro holds well and have never lost it in over 6,000 miles.

Just bought one for my RX1. Have had one on my XT for many years. Love it.
Yep and it does mount with velcro. Seems to do the job.

I bought one and thought it was very ill fitting, I will try fliping it over when I get home tonight. It looks so bad right now I was considering removing it for good.

Thanks man
windshield bag
The bag looks like it is very small. I think 34.00 for a small bag is to much money

It works good we have one on our 05 and it is very handy, holds good and does not impair line of vision. It is a good buy!
