I just bought a used 2003 Karavan trailer with the typical clamshell on it. One of the gas shock/struts that are on each side that help lift the clamshell is broken and I need to replace it. The original one is a Stabilus Lift-o-mat part # FBN22S. I have searched the interenet but have come up empty. Anyone know of a place I can get a new set of these. Thanks, Gordon

Could try and cross it to a Triton trailer.

Try your local auto parts store, they are the same ones used for lift-gates, deck-lids etc. Just match up the size to what they have.

X2. Even if you can not find a perfect match, maybe you would need to buy both sides so they lift equally. If one is bad, the other may not be far behind anyway

i could try to cross the number at work tmw and see if it is a readily available one from like napa

SUSPA in Grand Rapids, MI makes replacement gas springs that fit most trailers. Many auto parts stores carry this brand. There are cross references online including one for Stabilus. Off hand I do not recognize that number. I wouldn't mess with any trailer company that will simple jack the price up. Just figure out the specs for what you have and cross it to whatever brand your favorite auto parts store carries.
