I have a Triton PR-168 (16 ft enclosed) v-nose trailer. Its a great trailer. I have been using a Mr. Heater Big Buddy. It works well but gives off fumes. Wondering what everyone else is using. Wondering if electric is the way to go? Or are there better propane heaters out there? Any input would be great.

What are you using it for? If you are just using it for heat for getting your gear on, a bbq tank mounted heater works fine. That is what we use we leave the side door and roof vent open for ventilation and only run it for 10-15 minutes on really cold days.
If you are looking for something that you could run longer and camp in your trailer then you should pick up a used RV heater and run that. Lots of threads on this type of setup over on SnoWest's forum.

I use a 40,000 btu wall mount garage heater - propane and have a carbon monoxide sensor in mine. I have slept in it at -30 f and was compfy as all get out. I just bought a 24' car hauler and insulated the walls and ceiling with 1-1/2" foam R-9 I am thinking once up to temp it will stay there on just pilot or low setting.

What make and model is your heater.
I'll check it and get back to you the trailer is out on a job site. I bought it a Mills Fleet farm there are about 3 to 4 companies with them and they are all about the same.
At 16' unless you want to roast hot dogs you can probably use a 20,000 BTU unit. I use 1 in my garage and at -30 f it keeps the garage at 60. I jsut put the 40,000 in the trailer because it was on sale. Once the trailer is to temp it maintains temp at lowest setting.

I used to have electric baseboard , pull in to the hotel and bam cheap heat!
It can run for days without a refill , and no deadly fumes or open flames.

i bought mine from lowes too for my shop. it works great heat wise. but it gives off fumes that burn your eyes and nose. supposed to be 99.9% efficient. does yours burn your eyes?

you still need to crack a roof vent for fresh air
