Trailer

I was looking at a Mission trailer, 7.5 x 16, do you think 3 sleds would fit, last one backed in?Most days only two sleds ,a few times a year I would carry three.Same as you ,I do not want to be towing a heavier more expensive trailer if I can avoid it.

no

Even though its 16 ft, you loose a lot of space with the v. I have a 23ft v and I can fit 3 sleds no problem, 4 if 2 go backwards. If I were you I would probably go with a 19ft v.

I bought a Nashcar Trailer and I have been happy with it. Few little things I have to change like the tongue jack to one with a higher weight capacity. Only need it for when I have 3 or more sleds in it and I unhook it from my truck to store for the week. I also want to change some of the screws as it seams there not all stainless and they are rusting. Minor things if you ask me. The trailer is all aluminum, only weighs 2100 lbs and tows nicely behind a half ton.
The site is down right now, hope they didn't go out of buisness!

I just went through looking at what trailer would fit 3 10ft long sleds. I chose 10ft as my Attack is 10ft long. After looking at all the options I went with a 16ft Featherlite 1648 model trailer with a V Nose. I chose the Featherlite as their 1648 trailers have a 7ft V nose, which is the longest V nose of al the brands I looked at. What I did was draw up a scale model of the trailer on paper and then cut out scale model sleds as well, until I had the correct body length with the V nose to fit 3 10ft long sleds. A 16ft x 8.5 ft box with the 7ft V nose was the shortest that would fit the 3 sleds. Im supposed to be getting delivery late September.

So to be clear that would be 23ft trailer? I guess I'm comparing apples to oranges as I'm basing my sled fit on short track sleds. If you need to fit 3 long tracks, definitely gonna need a 23.

Yep its 23 ft in total enclosed length ( 16ft box and 7ft V nose). I went with the 8.5 ft wide as otherwise I would have needed an even longer trailer to fit the three sleds without having to move them aroung by hand. Then again my goal was to get the shortest trailer that would fit 3 sleds.
However I have no ambitions to own a longer track then my 136" 2007 Attack, and my other sled is a 2007 Apex so this setup suits my toys and future ambitions just fine.

Lets be clear here. I was asked about a 7.5 ft wide trailer. A 101 inch wide trailer X 16 ft long may fit 3 sleds on it (2 forward and 1 backward. The width is the whole key here. I guess anything is possible if you are stacking the skiis on top of the seats and running boards, LOL.

Op was asking about a 7.5 wide, my trailer is only 7 wide. It is 18 ft box with a 5 foot v.

If the trailer he is asking about is a 16ft box with a 5 or 7 foot v I see no problem fitting 3 sleds. I can fit 4.

I've got a 24 foot with 6+ foot V (30+ feet total), 7.5 foot wide. I can fit five sleds and a 120. Four of them 128" go in the main box (24' section) and a Phazer MTX in the V nose and front of the main box opposite of the service door. The four in the main box go front to back in terms of side by side. If you plan the ramp correctly, you can back the sleds up the ramp, then just man handle it from there. I have a rolling tool box next to the Phazer along with room for the 120 if need be. It's tight but do-able, I have three axles so weight is less of a concern. I can measure the distance if needed.

Thanks for the replies, I will look at some trailers in the 23 ft range, as two of the sleds are 144's, apex xtx and nytro xtx.

Nice! Post some pictures up when you get it

Will do... It is supposed to be here in about 1 month.

Your trailer in? There is a single axle model sitting out front of powersports1 this morning.

No, my trailer was purchased at Ken's Sports. I was tolds it might be Oct 1st or after before it is in. Once I get it I will post some pictures.

The trailer you saw at PS1 is like mine except for the color, year, and # of axles. I could have saved a lot of $$$ but they (PS1) didn't have the trailer when I was ready to buy.

The cost as $4,000 was the price difference. Also I wanted as small (lighter 1250 #s vs. almost 2000 #s) trailer.

You could get a RR 718 (plus % foot VNOSE) slasher elite trailer with better options than a TC16 for 6200.00. 3 place in line trailer. Drive in and off. Yes, it would be heavier, but twice the trailer IMO.

Here are some pics. As soon as I get the ski guides installed I will post some of the inside.
