Judging from the pictures, it appears to just replace the control rods with straps, but a couple points in the description suggest otherwise, particularly "seven adjustments allow you to dial in the exact amount of ski lift you've been looking for", and "slow speed ride on the trail is actually improved"...
My question (to those who have used this) is this: is there any kind of compression limiter there to prevent wheeley-ing? Or would it make trail riding suicide?
I presently have NO control rods, and hitting the throttle on anything hard seems to make it walk on its as*.
Could someone describe exactly what the kit contains and how it works?
Just trying to decide if I should make longer control rods (to accomodate lower approach angle), or if I should ditch them all together.

I have the system and see no way of limiting rear shock compression other than stiffer settings. The straps do have seven different settings as to how much you want the shock to travel but do not stop compression (just like you thought). This is why they claim a better "slow" trail ride IMO. After installing I noticed the lack of control rod bottoming out in the bumps but I don't get the mad wheelies you speak of because of my heavy spring rate on the rear shock and probably because I have the skid in the lower hole in the mounting bracket (I assume you still got the shorty brackets?) which raised the rear about 1 1/2". I also switch the FRA to stiff for trail rides and soft for powder.
Edit: PM'd you

Mine's jacked up 4 inches (that puts it as high or higher than yours), I've tried FRA all over the place. Still mad wheelies. Looks like I'll be welding up longer lower control rods.

LOL. I wish I could have the best of both here.... the ability to switch it on and off at will. I absolutely have to have pressure down on the skis. I usually do a lot of trail miles because my buddies are afraid of deep snow. Damned wusses.
