So who knew there were bearings in the transfer rod? I found that out tonight as I thought I was in my final assembly .
Yup .just clean and lube up.i use gear oil.

i found that out when i was putting it back in and i pulled the plastic bushing like peace out and all of the little needle bearings fell out...

Ya there is a small needle type bearing in both ends myn was all rused out that's why it fell out I think they were like $10 a peace from port yamaha

If you have all the needle bearings you can put them back in. Smear some grease on race and them pack them back in.

TY 4 Stroke Junkie
I lost the needle bearings on one side and the other was rusted solid. #'s 57 below. Seems there are similar bearings in the mono shock also.
