So who knew there were bearings in the transfer rod? I found that out tonight as I thought I was in my final assembly .
Yup .just clean and lube up.i use gear oil.

i found that out when i was putting it back in and i pulled the plastic bushing like peace out and all of the little needle bearings fell out...

Ya there is a small needle type bearing in both ends myn was all rused out that's why it fell out I think they were like $10 a peace from port yamahaYou mean in the ends?

If you have all the needle bearings you can put them back in. Smear some grease on race and them pack them back in.

I lost the needle bearings on one side and the other was rusted solid. #'s 57 below. Seems there are similar bearings in the mono shock also.
