I have an '07 Apex Mountain with an Impulse turbo. :sled1: It has the standalone ECU, but I am using the stock tachometer. Since it is the standalone, the stock ECU is not connected to the coils, so I am getting codes 33, 34, 35, and 36 on the tach. I am wanting to eliminate these codes. I have tried connecting a 1.6 ohm resistor to the stock wiring harness to simulate a coil, but the code still exists. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could try to eliminate these codes?

I have ridden with them for 2 winters. It is not that big of deal, as the tach works with the codes flashing, but it makes the clock obsolete and makes it less likely for me to notice any other code flashing, as there are always codes scrolling. Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone have any ideas? I am willing to try some different things. I chose the 1.6 ohm resistor since that is within the range of the primary resistance of the stock coils (1.19-1.61 ohms @ 68F).

I imagine others are running a standalone with the stock tach. If anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it.

Sorry can't help you. My standalone actually communicates to the dash thru the CAN communication lead, so everything works like stock.
Not sure how you'd mimic the correct signal to fool the dash, it's not just a correct voltage that it's looking for. You'd have to replicate frequency as well.
