Put 70miles on my M10-rage with the quiet track today with very positive results! Seeing that I was on the river our average speeds were quite bit faster than you would probably encounter on the trails. At 25mph there was a slight growl but no were near what I had before. You have to take into consideration there was not that much snow and my guess is trail noise will be virtually non exsistent. At any speed much faster than that all you heard was wind! I also sucked up my limiter strap a notch so the clanking I was getting and vibration I was geting is gone. The other benefit is this track is fully clipped. The previoust highest top speed I ever saw was 103 on the speedo today I saw saw 106 to107 flash more than a couple of times. No more sticking either!I had my gps in my pocket to check actual speeds and forgot to use it.I was real skeptical of this mod but for me it seems to have paid off! I really enjoy this sled it is very comfortable, fuel efficiant, fairly peppy and now quiet I can't wait for some more time and snow to ride it.I will keep every body posted when I get some more miles.
I went with a 6pitch 1 1/4" track and my track howl is gone.

I'm curious to know if anyone else has had any results, good or bad, from changing tracks, wheel mods, etc. in regard to track howl.

well I'm up to about 350miles for the season spent some time in central wisconsin the last few days and all is well with the track.still have a small growl at about 25mph but very livable. My friend rides a 03 rx-1 I can now understand why rx riders really never complained of track noise that engine is twice as loud as mine!
