smokingcrater said:So have you tried hooking the fluid gauges back up after getting it in the neighborhood with the mechanical gauges? The fluid method is MUCH more sensitive, as you found out (almost sucking fluid in), and will also be less prone to a gauge slightly out of calibration with the rest.
No I did not actually. Once I gave up on them, that was it.. on the wall and hasn't moved. But, that pet store isn't far from here, I suppose I should get 4 more of them valves to stop the pulsating, and give them another go. The pulsating caused the fluid to break up into thousands of small sections which was was horrible... after each test I had to have another beer while I was waiting for the fluid to drain back down.. which wasn't so bad... except each time I started the engine it only took a couple seconds before i had to shut it down. After the box was gone I gave up, and the next day I went to the city and picked up all the supplies to make a set with gauges. lol So, I'll give it a shot and post back here, once we get closer to snow... We had our first heavy frost here last night... bridges and over passes were slippery. getting closer!

Try pushing a small mikuni jet into the line, can't remember the size but it worked for me.

My Morgan Carb Tune tool has restictors in each line to smooth out the oscillation at idle.
