I had the pleasure of spending the day with Dave and his crew @ Hurricane Performance last week to set up my Powderlites stage II turbo, This is my second season on the sled with the turbo. I put the bigger injectors in (purchased from Hurricane) . My son AJ built a new map for the RB3 which got us up and running but we didn't have the snow or area to complete plus we could not get it to run clean in the rpm's @ transition to boost.
What should have been a couple of hours tuning ended up being a full day in to the evening .
First off , Dave is a perfectionest, his passion for the sport is unbelievable.
Enough with the puffing of smoke up the a$$, I'll get to the short of it.
After 9 hours on the tuning bike and chasing glitches we were able to tune.
Ended up the original RB3 harness had a flaw in it , Thanks to Dave Forsythe @ Powderlites for his time and support on the phone with Hurricane ,problem solved. Dave ended up putting a new harness in the sled (warrantied) and finished up tuning.
Dave , the sled is running great , AJ cleaned up the top end on Saturday on the lake.
Between Powderlites and Hurricane I can't say enough good things, the product and customer support are outstanding. Where else can you buy a product from BC and take it to Ontario and get that kind of service.
Dave , Thank You and your wife and crew for being so gracious
Art ;)!

Speed,
Glad to hear you got everything straightened out. Looks like you went to the right place, you would have gone nuckin futz trying to figure that out yourself.

Nice work again Dave. ;)! It's reassuring to know we have someone we could go to if we need to...

Jamie,

I am pretty sure that will be confidential until after the Big Moose OF shootout. LOL!

didn't do any dyno time just worked the bugs out and tuning bike tune up

Maury,
Would have never figured it out, ended up the map sensor had no voltage ,if not for Dave's persistance and knowing the product I would have been chasing rainbows the rest of the season. As I said earlier these guys know their $hit. ;)!

I just hope your "chasing" my snowflap... Ppffss.

I have to say,,,I love that sled,,,That Apex of Arts is one of the sweetest rides that I've had the privelage to work on and ride. This is why I love this sport. Not to mention that Aut is a super nice guy.I look forward to seeing you again when Aj comes over.

Well dave, that should be soon, Got the whole exhaust BS finished tonight, now I got to button the rest of every thing up. And make her look pretty!!! Big 3" pipe hanging out the side is hard to cover up but I try!! I will call you after the weekend, not sure I am making it up there untill wed or thurs next week. Can't wait to get up to your shop, You got C-16 or something close, want to tune for High boost?

we just got int the door from tuning my sled and fine tuning the old mans sled. Any one that is running RB3 on the east coast should take the time to go see dave. Hook up the tuning bike and let him go through his motions on your sled.

I have tuned the RB3 last year and sled ran fine, but there was a bunch of different settings that I was un aware of the dave set right. Now the sled runs smoother and better then it ever did, and this is with his stage 4 injectors as well.

Great tuning day, had to add weight to the primarys to get off the limiter from the hp found with a better fuel curve.

Now I just have to set up the suspension right and dave has to clean his underpants from the tail walks the sled was doing at 12lbs boost!!!!!

I had a good time working with both AJ and Art,helping to tune there sleds.I got to say,,,these guy's are top knotch gentlemen and I sure appreciated it.AJ,a guy needs to have LONG arms to drive your sled.It gives a new view of the stratusphere.LOL
