I found a deal on a zx2 for my 07 rtx. Stretching it to 136. Which tunnel extension is recomended so it still has a rigid bumper to pull on and which track would you go with? No studs required and strictly on trail use with the occasional off trail excursion. Was looking at the muffin works extension and a cobra 1.325. I also see people running the rear heat exchanger on it. Is it really necessary or just taking precautions against overheating. I will also be adding extroverts since i am tired of the track ratcheting under load so a different track pitch could also be used.

if you don't take the ZX2 let me know I'm looking for one ;)

the Muffin Works extension is nice, I have their 144" on my sled now and have no complaints, you can probably find a used 136" Ripsaw cheap which I find is a good trail track but not so good off the trail, also the rear heat exchanger is not needed

ive heard good things about the cobra, ripsaw is the best on trail

I used a muffin works tunnel extension on my Apex. great quality and excellent customer service. I left the stock heat exchanger in mine and had no issues. Track choice depends on what type of riding you do. I had a 144 1.75 backcountry on mine and loved it.

I have a Tom Hartmann ext on my Rtx. He makes his bumper reinforce with two 1/2" bars that mount to the stock tunnel.

i have a tracks usa 136 extension with a cobra track. Highly recommend the cobra, pulls like crazy compared to stock ripsaw. I too have a 07 apex and I'm still trying to get rear suspension dialed in. Its riding a lot stiffer than it did stock. All settings on softest positions.
