Just purchased this sled and did some searching here to see what should be used for tunnel protectors.
I have stock heat exchanger setup and have posed picture below. I believe what I have for protection is factory installed. Any recommendations for what to do? I don't like the scratches shown in the picture.
Also, I see that the guy studded in the middle of the track. It has been like this for over 1500 miles and wonder if this will cause a problem rubbing shock like I have read??

Looks like my tunnel--I'm studded up the middle as well. The shock rub is a short track issue--you won't come that close with an Attak.
 
I have found several studs in the middle broken or tore up and I'm thinking it's because they are hitting that 'plate'. Thinking about adding 1/4" aluminum stock to existing protector rails to ensure studs don't hit at this point.
