Does anyone know if the tunnel protectors are a structural component?
I would like to replace my aluminum ones with plastic or eliminate them completely to prevent ice build up in the tunnel. Most if the ice seems to be on/around the protectors.
I figure a couple strips of Hyfax would shed the ice better than a chunk of aluminum.

Tunnel Protectors
Phantom,
The tunnel protectors are for preventing studs from hitting exhaust and heat exchanger in the front.
I have ran my Vector for 4 years without them due to I wanted to carry less ice.

Re: Tunnel Protectors
Thanks!
I don't run studs anymore so they are outta there over the Summer.
How did it effect the icing problem?
