Just bought a 2011 Phazer RTX. I studded it. The dealer says I won't need tunnel protectors. No problems yet. What do you guys say?

If you bottoming YES. I used Hyfaxes to do this. I found out once that the steel or aluminum bar can fall off of the chassis does some twisting and will lock up you track..

I'd say keep the protectors. They are there for a reason.. and the reason is studs. I removed mine cause i know i will never stud my track.
Only reason to remove them is to shave some weight, and prevent ice buildup on a non studded track.

if you trail ride you wont' need them. if you start doing jumps & hanging skiis. you will hit the back 6" of the tunnel.
your choice what to do.
eventually when it's time to replace the track, you will find out that a 1.5" or bigger track is way better than a stock track w/ studs.

Well the fact of the matter is that 1 time bottoming out your sled will completely F up your tunnel and the 100 dollar investment is well worth the headache of a ripped up tunnel in my opinion choice and risk is all yours
