Turbo or Supercharger?

In my opinion i wouldnt let eagle river yamaha touch my stuff with a ten foot pole. Danny has no customer service imo and i know a few of there mechanics and not impressed. Plus they are a bender dealer, and bender isnt really on top of their game right now as far as that turbos go. Their is no mcx dealer in the state, just leipheimer yamaha in Butte Montana, there could be more but they are the main one.

Anyway, i would take it to anchorage yamaha, they have done quite a few turbo's and dont have kids working in the back, actual riders and mechanics. I personally dont like anyone working on my sleds but if i were havinf someone do my install it would be them only if i had too.

Im headed overseas to play ball in the next week or so! Cant wait actually, should be quite an experience. Just hate the fact i have to sell my sled.

Thanks for the heads up on the install, good points.

Best of luck over there you should have fun, whereabouts are you going? I can understand about selling your sled, how much are you asking for your sled, I might now someone?

Im headed to Portugal, right next to Spain.

As for the sled, i would like to get $16,000 for it as it sits.

Cool, you'll have fun there for sure.

Do you have a couple pics and a list of what you did to it?

Check in snowest under the swap meet forum under the yamaha section. I have a bunch of photos, a list of things and also a video link. Thanks for helping put the word out. Later.

HYFLYR, where is the video of you flying up this hill on your Apex and the 800 doo, can't do but about a 5th of the hill and the camera man is cracking up?

Its on you tube. Type in my name as an author (rmking7oo) and it should pop up. Pm me if that doesnt work.

Careful there 08 nitro, once you go boost, you will never go back. Its addicting!!!!!

I am somewhat looking for boost too. Although not too seriously yet but I just called Eagle River Yamaha and they are a MCXpress dealer. At least that is what they told me. Are there any dealers up here who are able to install a turbo kit?

I think Anchorage Yamaha has been installing Boondocker for a couple years. I heard that ER Yama was the MCXpress dealer as well.

Huh! they must of started this year with mcx because lat year they didnt know sqaut about them. They thought i was crazy for running 15#s of boost and swore up and down i was going to wreck my motor in a heart beat. Well, it lasted a 1k miles without a hicciop and ran strong all year in every condition, at 15. They just dont seem informed in the aftermarket world in my opinion, but if you want you can trust them but i have heard to many horror stories to deal with them. My dad gets his stuff from them and i laugh everytime he complains about dealing with them on something, but yet he continues to go there. Just my .02

Sooooo,is anyone gonna run the SC? I had a turbo RX,a friend has a SC.RX1 ,any I was never so impressed with a sled when I rode his.We were both set up for 10 psi boost, and had pretty close top end power, but the throttle response of the SC was unbelieveable, just about yanks your arms off.only thing I didnt like was it would run on for a bit when you clossed the throttle, but I think maybe a BOV would help this,I am more into boondocking and tree bashing and will probably never climb an avy chute in the spring so I dont need 300+ hp.I think the Nytro with SC would be sweet!! I also haven't heard many things about MPI,and people disatisfied with the SC Apex.Would be nice to know of the Nytro SC is gonna work as well as the rest of the sled.

If the SC is so much simpler to install, uses the OEM exhaust, and requires less hardware to install, why is it priced so closely to a Turbo? I know toys are toys and it costs alot of $$ to go faster but is that regulates the bottom line? Also lets just say that the MTX will get 16mpg...with a SC installed are we now lookin at 10 mpg? Or isn't it that dramatic?
