- 2015 SR Viper XTX SE
Hey Guys. I have a '15 XTX with the MPI trail turbo. I ran it last winter without gauges and stock settings. It worked great but fuel mileage wasn't awesome. I installed boost and AFR gauges last spring and started testing today. If it matters my intake is under hood and I have the silent exhaust. With the stock settings idle was in the low 11's mid throttle low to mid 11's. Under boost I was 10.8 to 11.1.
Following the MPI instructions I adjusted the settings to get closer to what they suggest. I finished with this today:
Green 1.5 (afr 11.7 - 12.2 at idle)
Yellow 4
Red 3
Green/blue 2.5 (2-3lbs boost afr 10.9 - 11.6)
Red/Blue 7 (0lbs boost 30-50mph afr 11.9 -12.8)
The numbers seem better but I wasn't expecting to move settings so far from stock. Sled was running well. I couldn't get any WOT runs as trails are not in good enough condition.
The question, for those of you that have tuned your GEMS, is this within reason or does something seem fishy?
I'd like to set it and forget it and like the EABC so not real inclined to move to a PC.
Thank for your thoughts.

May gain a bit of mileage back by leaning out the cruising settings but hardly will be noticeable, taller gearing is going to give you much better results as far as fuel mileage goes and it will really benefit the added turbo power.

Yes after all the money I dumped into my viper with a full N/a setup the only think I was able to keep was the header and ignition module only to get back a small part of that money back selling it all and then going out and spending 6500 on turbo and stage1 kit, muffler, PCV, gauges, gears, clutch kit. I kinda wish I tradeing in the viper after seeing what the sidewinder can do when tuned up. I would have put money into a sidewinder with a flash, muffler, and clutching been done with it, 250+hp all day good top end and never worry about it blowing or the starter jumping out of the sled because it has a cat ECU that can't even start it correctly

I'm stoping the bleeding. Whether or not it's the best decision financially at the time. I tried tuning and messing around . I'm leaving this thing stock !!!
