Mine was crazy rich all the time till I made similar changes to what is mentioned above. I'm still having issues pulling proper rpm. I'm thinking the quiet muffler is causing a restriction on the system, making the thing run rich and robbing me of HP. It's a good bit faster than my friends stock xtx but doesn't seem anywhere near 170+ HP. I'm guessing around 155ish.
What are your AFR numbers (and boost) throughout your rpm range / different stages of the GEMS?

Don't know what the GEMS is set at right now. Been playing with it a lot and the sled is locked up in the trailer now. The important part is I'm at about 5 lbs of boost WOT running around 11.3 AFR. Plowed road 111 on GPS was all it had and was only pulling 8400 RPM. I am running 4 in the heel and three on the tip with nothing in the middle, so I'm already lighter than the recommended set up which makes me think it's down on HP if it can't even pull 3 in the toe. It runs like a bat outa hell from the bottom through the mid then once the rpm builds it just runs out of steam. That's why I'm thinking it's a restriction issue and the only thing I can think of is the quiet muffler. What are your AFR numbers (and boost) throughout your rpm range / different stages of the GEMS?

It is but I cleaned the air filter, (belt dust from clutching issues last year) and left the side panel off while testing to get the intake temps down. When I get back from this trip I'm going to bring it through the hood because it does run a little stronger with the cold air but still not what it should be.Air intake under the hood stock?

I have 3 in the heel and 2 in the tip. It brought the revs up and works much better. I would lighten it up some moreDon't know what the GEMS is set at right now. I could not believe the top end difference with the intake opend up. My sled was majorly restricted. It is but I cleaned the air filter, (belt dust from clutching issues last year) and left the side panel off while testing to get the intake temps down. When I get back from this trip I'm going to bring it through the hood because it does run a little stronger with the cold air but still not what it should be.

Check the rod from the turbo to the vacuum can. Needs to be a little pressure on it, if it rattles it needs adjustment. Any question PM me and I can give you my phone number

I put the XTX gears in it this year and had Allen machine both clutches. I haven't looked to see if I'm getting full shift but I doubt it. I saw 116 GPS last year on the same road with stock gears. Maybe I do just need to pull more weight out of it. Been too busy riding and not wanting to tinker. This is the first week I've ridden all year. When I get home on Sunday I'm going to look everything over and call Allen to see what he suggests. I just wana get it to full power as is so I can see how far I want to upgrade for next year. It's running much better with the clutching in the low to mid this year just gotta figure out the top end.I have 3 in the heel and 2 in the tip. It brought the revs up and works much better. Allen has the answers for sure. I also have the xtx gearing 21/41. Allen said since I am using the taller gearing the clutch weights likley would need to lightens up from what the kit recommends with stock gearing.I put the XTX gears in it this year and had Allen machine both clutches. I haven't looked to see if I'm getting full shift but I doubt it. I saw 116 GPS last year on the same road with stock gears. Maybe I do just need to pull more weight out of it. Good luck tuning. Keep me posted.
