I think that will give you a vacuum on the hose in the top of the BOV when you let off the throttle hard. You will have boost on the other side of the BOV and that will cause it to open and release the boost.
Am I correct guys? I think I am starting to understand all this stuff.LOL
Lance
You are correct
I 2nd that. I will try to take some pics this week. Can't promise anything too soon, but will try by this weekend.

Did you cut the spring inside your BOV? I see that others have cut three rings off of theirs. I cut two off and will try it that way first.

I have about 2-1/2 rings cut and it seems to work well. I have also read where some are takeing the spring out. I don't think I will go that far, but might cut 1/2-1 more off if needed. We'll see.

I cut 2 rings out of mine as well. I hear it blow off as soon as I let off.
The boot between the carb and head. There are two lines that run to your existing fuel pump. Cap your existing fuel pump and run all 4 nipples on those boots back to your bov.

Thanks alot guy's!!
So cutting between 2 & 3 rings off and I will be in the ballpark is what it sonds like, so I don't have to be really precise with the cutting and obviously I am taking out or leaving out the washers that come with the BOV for differen't adjustments. I haven't seen my BOV yet so I am going off of what I have read on the internet about the valve I got.

Moose, I have that identical BOV , I cut three rings out , no washers and it relieves at or around 5000 rpms. as soon as boost builds and equilizes it will shut. Once you have it installed and ride you will be able to adjust according to your needs (very simple) Mounted on mpi S/C. Make sure you connect on motor side of throttle bodies or carbs ,it needs to sense vacuum as well as boost

MY turbo mcx phazer has the hose just before the intercooler 1 3/4 dia tee'd with an aluminium pipe tee and one side is the bov , the other goes to the intercooler , other to turbo , connections are with hose and clamps !! worked well for the first 40mi , NO SNOW SINCE !!!!!
I think the bigger volume would be better than some of your small dia hoses ! This one makes lots of noise when you lift !!!

If you test your valve from the top without the vacuum hose on will it blow off with 10 lbs.? Why are you cutting the spring. Wondering if I should remove washers or cut spring. I like to run 17 lbs. boost . I have the same bov.

How can you tell the best setting on the bov. I have 3 washers out. Can't nreally tell if it bows off.

traveler....I have read into this a few times.
The reason alot of guys are cutting down there springs is so that the bov will release pressure faster when you let off the gas, so when you get back on the gas it will spool up quicker. Thus helping with throttle chop.
