I cant find the original thread we had going that was talking about this so i will start another i guess....
I got out to ride my FX for a little bit longer and test out the set up with the ulmer clutch kit and 136x1.75 track...i also have switched to 17tooth top gear and left the stock 9tooth drivers on....at first i left the secondary spring in stock FX location....that wasnt a good set up..i could only get about 10700-10800rpm out of it ....i switched to the mountain lite secondary spring setting and all is well....i am seeing about 11300-11500rpms and an indicated 80-82mph on the Dream-o meter....stock i was seeing11800-12000rpm at 85-88....i dont ride a lot of trails so top speed matters little to me....sled seems to pull this track just fine, hooks up much better too...i might go one more step on the secondary spring for my trip up to the U.P. next week....we will see how it does in the really deep snow....
Also, as before, engine braking is almost non-existent now with this set up...i am MUCH happier with this track than the stock one....well worth the time and effort...

Well I am up in the UP and we found some VERY deep snow....got to really put the 136x1.75 phazer to the test. It is a great deep snow sled now.very easy to throw it around and carve the snow.....It pulled the track fine and pulled itself out of some very deep snow with no problems......pulls 11400 or so at WOT on the trail and GPS speed of 68-70....I am very happy and this is a much better sled now than before...I also have a sledsolutions float plate on....helps a lot...still running stock skis....
Anyone thinking of putting a longer track on, even if you trail ride, I would highly recommend it....much better on the trail too...

where did you get your track from.. I see tracks usa has the 1.5 freeride, I wouldnt mind having the 1.75
i bought a 15inch wide camoplast track and cut it down to 14.25inches wide on a table saw....works great!

did you put a tunnel extension on or no? Thinking about doing to the wifes sled so she can get around a little better in the deep stuff...thanks for the info
just cut the stock bar and put an extension in it...then added some aluminum for the rest of the tunnel....

No, it's so annoying but you cannot.
