I hust bought a Ulmer stage 2 clutch kit. I am 200 lbs dressed. I put the kit in last weekend. I just took it out for the first time today with the kit in it. When I hit the gas it pulls 9500 RPM and climbs to 10100 tops. I did gain some speed on top end some how. I thought it should pull 10,500 RPM. It is 22 out side and the snow is light and fluffy. Should I call Alen for the help or can some one here help me? Thank you

Allen will have you pull some washers (weight) out of it.

I just got an email back from Allen. We wanted me to make sure the secondary spring was in hole 3 on the secondary and 6 in the helix. I went out and checked it and it was right. I let him know and asked him wat was nextbottlerocket said:Allen will have you pull some washers (weight) out of it.

The sled with all my stock clutch parts runs 10,700 at full shift and 10,300 when I hit the gas. I have a buddy that has a 06 Apx RTX and he gets me off the line but I pull away from him around 70 mph. His sled has 2200 miles on it and is all stock too. I thought with Ulmer clutch kit I could pull away faster but im not sure if I can only get 10,000 at full shift and only 9,500 when I hit the gas

does your heel have a tungsten in it that's the large one, don't know what you mean by 7 at base.

Re: clutch
Allen just emailed me back and told me to pull the washer from the tip and one from the heel. So now I will be running 0-0-2+4. Now washers only at the heel 2 on one side and 4 on the otheryamadog1 said:if allen does not call you could call supreme tool and ask for matt--248-673-8408 he could try to help you.

Take the tip weight out. You could lighten the pin weight by one washer too.Mine has 3+3 in the pin. When my sled was stock my sled would not pull anything in the tip. Now with my mods I can run a washer in the tip and the secondary spring down to 80 and it runs 10800 on a long run. Also remember that soft powder will make the clutches overshift when you spin badly. Clutching is one big compromise....

Re: clutch
The setups are different because he has an Attak and you have a 121" model Apex.
I returned your email also you will need to go back to your stock secondary spring because you are using the XS805 belt.
