I was trying to get down to the battery today and had a heck of a time with the speedo plug. Is there a release I am missing ? I decided not to force it, and be out big bucks.

I can see why people say need a long T handle Allen end -what size does anyone know?- after looking at those throttle body boots to release air box.

thanks

For the speedo, there is a rubber boot you have to slide backwards. After you remove that black boot, you'll see what you need to do.

At the big plug near the accessory outlet you need a real small screwdriver or pin to release the locking tab on the plug. If you talking about the back of the speedo (which I don't think you need to unplug to remove the headlight pod) like 1CS said once you remove that boot it will be obvious where the locking tabs are.

thanks guys, I did have the boot off the speedo plug could not see the relaease. :o| .......missing the obvious I guess I will check the link. Thanks

Later, What a great post by ULMER!!!

My problem was I was trying to disconnect at the back of the spedo guage , did not open the big rubber boot and see the line disconnects.

Thanks for the help
