I have put some miles on these skiis. I have hard steering so I backed off skii pressure that seemed to help. Right now I have skiis installed in the middle hole with first stage fins 6 inch round bar. What effect will I get using the rear hole or front hole? I have stage two fins.

use the rear hole, I don't know why they even bother to make the other two holes. It will make a world of difference.

Hmm...I have this same sled and just installed these skis (haven't had a chance to ride the sled yet with the winter we've been having). Did you notice the heavy steering at trail speeds? Or just going slow? Or both?

I noticed both. Trails conditions where not ideal. I have backed off my front skocks and installed the skiis in the last mount hole see what that does.

I talked to USI tech. about these skis. First thing they said was not to run shaper bars it would be to much run round bar.

Thanks for the advice that worked.

Yeah, I've managed to put some miles on these skis and holy crap, you weren't kidding about the steering effort increase. I like how they stick to the trails (no push!) at cruising speeds but they are a bear at slower speeds. Now granted, I DO have shaper bars installed but, how much easier did these skis turn when using the rear mounting hole? And did you notice any on-trail performance changes?

change the hole for ease of stearing. the round bars will help with darting. shapers are too tall and hang down below the dart control built into the ski making it have no effect. shaper bars are more for improving bite on a ski. on all skis i have used them on, they do just that as well as make the ski turn harder. this ski is the last ski that needs bite improvement.

make sure it is the smaller round bar if your going to change them out. first,CHANGE TO THE BACK HOLE

Here's something interesting to note...I took off the X2s to switch them to the rear hole and noticed A LOT of wear on the front of the ski (both the plastic and the wear bar). They only have about 300 miles on them but the front looks like they have over 1000. I'm glad I checked them when I did; Hopefully switching to the rear hole will even the wear.

Make sure you remove the so-called easy steer plates. Also make sure on your carbide please. , needs to be neutral to rear biased.

Well Viper, you were right! I just put another 150 miles on the skis in the rear mounting hole and they're much easier to steer! Wear seems to be a bit more uniform as well... Thanks again!

Did you remove the easy steer plates?

Are you guys still happy with your triple threat ski's? I have just over 1000 miles on a set this year and so far I'm pleased. I need to try the rear mounting hole for easier steering.

Did you guys change your toe out? I set mine at 1/4", but I'm wondering if I should go more or leave it alone. I'm still darting a little, but not too bad.
