I have a 2009 phazer mtx and the belt on if from the factory is 8GK-17641-10-00 and my spare belt is 8GS-17641-00-00 is this belt ok to use thanks

There was an updated belt for reverse. Not sure if those are the numbers
involved or not.

Pretty sure the GK is the updated one to help reverse engagement along with shimming clutch.GS will ride a hair further up in secondary.I like the gs but I dont have reverse.It will work fine for you but reverse engagement might be a bit more cumbersome.

You are correct. The GK has pink writing, the GS yellow. I have both and don't really find any difference.

Yamaha's accessory site claims the GS fits 07-08 and the GK fits 09-10, but the parts fiche for an 07 says a GK. Go figure.
