It might be hearsay, but I was told by a very legitimate source that a kit for the 05' Genesis Extreme would be offered by Yamaha next year. The kit will consist of valve train components i.e. cams and valve springs. I would expect some jetting and ignition-timing adjustment would be necessary as well, but it is hearsay....... According to my source they estimate an extra 10 hp. Truth or fiction??????? If I were the marketing guy at Yamaha I'd be pissed since that dilutes some of the incentives for the 06' buyers. I guess as soon as the parts lists are out for the 06's you guys will do the your due diligence to compare the changes.

Silverbullet.....since when did $$$$ stop people from adding HP. lol

I would bet lots of "motor" type enhancements will be going along as this line up getting more and recognition.

What about the kit for the 06 that will make 165?

Are you guys still falling for the "I'll put air filters on a snowmobile and it will make more HP" then it does without them story?

What about the dyno sheets from ECP last year? Your'e saying that it was BS? I can tell you that that ws the stongest 1-2 horse that I ever felt. :ORC
 
The ECP kit gains a huge amount of horsepower & torque in the midrange, it gains very little "peak" hp.
 
Thank you for that clarification Allen....I know they made a HUGE difference on my sled....just ask the VMAX4s and SRXs I ride with! ;)!
 
Its that way for all 4 stroke performance engines they are fairly well wrung out from the factory on top end HP. Huge improvement in the mid I think something like 16 HP I may be wrong but thats the number that stuck in my head
