Vector engine bolt?

I noticed oil on the garage floor under my 2010 Vector GT yesterday--about a 3" spot. My dealer changed the oil 400 miles ago so I thought the oil filter may be loose. Upon inspection, the drain plugs and filter were tight. While cleaning the oil residue from the oil drain area under the motor, I found a flange bolt lying loose under the motor. After looking at a parts fiche, it appears that it could be a crankcase bolt. Has anyone had an experience like this? The sled has 2900 miles on it. Thanks.

Unless someone knows where it goes. You could go to your local dealer and have them look at the computer screen part list.......... Good luck. MM.

The mechanic at Big Moose yamaha, Eagle Bay, NY found it right away. It came from the oil cooler assy near the oil filter. He reinstalled it and I was on my way in 20 minutes. If you're ever in the Old Forge, NY area, checkout Big Moose Yamaha--a great dealer!

Where did you guys stay in OF?

We stayed at the Adirondack Lodge...not five star by any means but it worked. We might stay in Lyons Falls next time? Did 70 mile the first day after Big Moose took care of Fran's mystery screw, the main trails were pretty rocky but inner trails were good, did a loop on day 2 up trail 1 to Brantingham over to Tug Hill area down to Booneville, Forestport and back to Forge. Yesterday we ran around the Forge trails for another 70 Miles and came home a day early to miss the big storm, all in all a good trip.
