Vector Oil Drain Plug

Just picked up a 2008 Vector GT with 800 miles. Needs an oil change and I don't have a manual yet. Found access panel to oil filter but no drain plug. Dealer said they use suction device to pull oil out the top.

Is that the easiest/best/only way to remove old oil?

While I have your attention I need to add coolant, how do you get the top access panel out of the way? Can I use Prestone 50/50?

oil change

My 05 vector has a drain plug beside the filter. I think it even has a "v" on it or an arrow. Im sure yours will be the same.

Found the plug, only one with a copper washer behind it.
Only dip stick I could find (besides me) is on the right side in front and behind brake rotor. It appears like the chain oil for my old two strokes. Is there another one, and do you fill via the dip stick channel?

drain plug

checked the parts finder..theres a drain plug on the bottom of the oil tank,nothing on the filter it self . Norm

There are two drains and the filter. One drain is by the filter and marked with a v on what looks like a bolt but has a copper washer. I belive when you remove the cover to access the filter it is the one on the right and is the front one. The second is on the bottom of the tank as you say. Also have to change the filter.
