Taking a buddies stock vector to the mountains. I have and apex that is FI. The vector is carbed. Do i need to change anything carb wise on the vector for the mountains? We will be riding in 5000-8000 ft.

I know we need to adjust the clutching and may need to change the gearing eventually.

I am just worried about the carbs.

It is a 2005 Vector that has rail extensions to 136". We installed a 136"x16x1.75 challenger track on it. put a 2" bar riser and installed some powder pro skis. The rest of the sled is stock right now.

Vector at 7000+

I took my Vector to West Yellowstone last Christmas. Because I only intended to ride trails and had read that it would work fine stock, I left the stock jets in. I did change the clutches as defined by the service manual.

The sled started and ran fine, but you could tell it was down 15+ hp. If I were to do it again, I would swap the main jets.

My sled is a 2006 GT, stretched to 136 with a 1.25 Predator track. Geared down 1 tooth.
