I have a 2005 Vector mountain and the guage quit working.....I have checked the fuses, checked the wiring, grounds, etc. I have checked stator output and it is good- around 14 volts. Sled still runs fine. I have other guages that are still working and the headlight and tailight are still working. sled only had 300 miles on it when guage quit. any input? has anyone had a factory guage fail?

What other gages do you have?
Did you tie into the factory gage for power/ground?
If you did, you may have fried the gage itself.
When you say you checked the wiring, did you disconnect the wires from the gage and see if there is power coming from the blue/red wire to the gage?
Can you maybe swap gages with someone who has a Vector to test it out?

Is it the speedo that quit?
If so I had the same problem, my heated visor plug wiring shorted out and caused it to stop working, maybe check by removing one fuse at a time and see if guage starts working and if it does check that wiring for a short hope this helps

grimm, the other guages (air/fuel, boost, water temp) are tied into the headlight circuit for power. and grounds go to chassis. I will check that blue/ red wire for power. I have already verified stator is ok. the guage is completely dead. Any other ideas?

My guages quit working and tail/ brake light too as I recall. The fuse called it's self signal fuse. It blew for on apparent reason and has never blown again.
