I am looking for opinions on sleds. I have been on yammies since my first ex440 (1977) Kinda got out of sleddin about 7 years ago and now am getting back in. My current sled bought new is a 02 viper. Looking to up grade-update. Ride trails mostly in da UP.
Seems the older I get decisions become harder!! Don't consider my self a hot dogger but not a grandpa yet either. looking for input on the vector ltx and nitro xtx have not had the opportunity to ride either. thanks

Well I'm 49 and I ride 1500-2500 miles per year. Almost all trails, some un groomed lake riding thrown in. I love my vector ltx. It has amazing power, comfortable ride, reliable, good gas mileage. It doesn't beat you up all day! I mod it a little each year... The HID headlights by far are the best mod... And I just love to ride it. Nytro is a different sled, but in the end it's all about how you will ride it. I'd go for the vector if it's mostly trail riding.

X2, the nytro can get cold and a little boring if the trails are flat. The newer vectors have power steering.

I got to ride my '08 Vector 4 days in St Germain WI last week. After putting on dual runner on the front skis this thing is sweet. I am getting an extra heat exchanger for the rear and the radiator in the rf footwell. The trails were solid and it got hot a couple times. Most '09 and newer ones had the rear cooler and I think all FI ones have both. Driving my vector was nice, it turned GREAT with suspension setup and the duallys.

I have both, Nytro and Apex's. Apex's are is the same sled as the Vector, but has the smaller motor. The Nytro is great for off trail, playing, standing up while riding etc. type sled. But by far the Vector is more comfortable to just sit down and be a long distance cruiser. If you get on of the newer ones with power steering you will be spoiled very quickly. just my 2-cents worth
