vector shock swap

does anyone know if a 2000-2003 viper kimpex n7 rear gas shock fit a 05 vector
looks to be about same length and they are alot cheaper than getting oem thru yamaha.

The shock dimensions are correct but you may have to trim the spring retainers as your vector doesn't use a coil over shock. When I had my 05 vector I sent a rear viper shock to Pioneer Performance and told Bruce the application. He valved it perfect and I trimmed the spring retainer for the install. I tried this KYB back to back with an Ohlins and kept the KYB and sold the Ohlins. It was that good.
