Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I believe your bag is mounted upside down. The zipper should be across the top of the bag. The two side portions should be velcro-ed to the windshield and the big piece in the middle should go down to the dash.

What?? You've got to be kidding....
I think up to this point we all thought that the yami symbol was supposed to be shown on the top of the bag. Thats supposed to be on the bottom??
BTW, is the port yamaha the same dealer thats always at the Novi Snowmobile show across from the yamaha spot??

If anyone has mounted that way I would like to see a pic.
I don't see how you could mount it the other way without having all of the velcro on the windshield?

Looking at this a little more, the other way around would make more sense.
The zipper would be straight and the tuning fork logo would be oriented correctly.
I guess the front velcro fastner could be curled around underneath the bag....
If so I am going to need some more velcro !

I'm convinced, it's on upside down
The only thing I don't like about mounting it the other way is the velcro mounting points for the side of the bag are visable through the windshield.

That's annoying.
My dealer showed me how to install mine (upside down) too! Even showed me where the velcro is "supposed" to go.
I guess the all important question is: How much better is it when installed the other way around?

Flipper dont feel bad, I started this thread because I had a temporary bout of insanity: I was trying to install the bag upside down!!!!. I remounted the bag correctly and it fits great!!. The excitment of a new sled must have been the reason I missed it

I think you guys got it figured out! Somebody post a pic of it installed properly. I have been seeing alot of these installed improperly and people not happy with the bag. When installed properly I think they are a nice fitting usuable bag.
Port Yamaha is the same dealer across from Yamaha at the Novi show. I am the parts manager at the dealership.

I was enraged trying to get the bag to fit, but then finally figured out I had it upside down. Put the Side Velcro on the windshield and the Rear Velcro on the Dash. The Tuning Fork Logo should show so that ther one center fork is pointing up and the zipper is up high.
A nice picture on the instruction sheet would be more helpful then the rediculous Bill of Materials!
My old handlebar bag on my 600sx worked fine, but I figured I'd "upgrade" This turned out to be a $35 education!
Oh Well, if we can't figure out the bag install, then we should stay off the trail...
